WALKING THROUGH LE CINQUE TERRE

Another posibility is to walk through Le Cinque Terre:

Path N. 1 The path that, from Portovenere, goes along the ridge which divides the coastal sidefrom the internal one till Levanto, over "punta del Mesco", is considered the path ofthe "Cinque Terre " par excellence. It is a smooth but long path (40 Km, halfof which is in the stretch ofthe Cinque Terre), recommended to groups ofsufficiently trained and equipped hikers. Otherwise, its howeverpossible to cover only a stretch ofthe path (choosing t e panoramic parts of it) by going down one ofthe several paths which lead to the different resorts ofthe Cinque Terre. Path of the Cinque Terre - Length: about 20 km. - Time : 7 h. Hills : of Telegrafo (516 m. above sea level) of Gritta (330 m. above sea level) Path N.2 It connects all the villages of the Cinque Terre, it turns out to be the most frequented of the zone and the stretch Riomaggiore - Manarola is the famous Via del'Amore. It takes 5 hours to walk down the whole path ( even if it's possible to walk by streŤches), but the fatigue is repaid by unique views, characterized by a typical mediterranean backgroundfalling sheer to the sea, by the scents ofplants and herbs, by steep cliffs,by the fascination of isolated inlets. An experience to be done with calm, notforgetting a halt in one ofthe villagefor a typical bite drinking the local wine. Length: 11Km. - Time: 5 h. The route ofthe Sanctuaries Once the peasant world of the Cinque Terre was as important as the maritime world. So, it's not a chance ifthe route ofthe sanctuaries ( which arefive, onefor each village) winds up the mountain tops, as a witness to ancietit origins. The routes lead to the sanctuaries of: Nostra Signora di Soviore Nostra Signora di Reggio Nostra Signora delle Grazie e di S.
